Kevin Macleod

Kevin's first work for the Singing Kettle was in 1992 on The Wild West Show. He continued working with them periodically until becoming a fully joined up member of the team in November 1997. Since Winter Wonderland in 2001 Kevin has taken on a central role in the show, replacing Jane as one of the main presenters. He was Mr Hootchie Koochie in Boogie Woogie Zoo, the Pelican in Busy Road Show, Blair Atholl in Jingle Bells, Oliver the Tour Guide in World Tour, Mr Bubbles in The Musical Toyshop, Farmer Snooze in The Funny Farm and Louie the Lion in Silly Circus.

All about Kevin

Raised in Aberdeen where he attended Mile End Primary School and Robert Gordon's College.
Left home at 18 to go to Queen Margaret College, Edinburgh to study for a Diploma in Drama and Stage Management, graduating in 1990.
Has worked for many theatres across Scotland since leaving college including the Tron, Brunton, Royal Lyceum and Edinburgh Festival Theatre.
Most embarrassing moment is falling off stage in Largs while dressed as a pelican and cracking his collar bone!
Married to Traci and has twin daughters, Hannah and Emily. They live in Glenfarg in Perthshire with their labrador named Lucky, as well as their three cats, Blue, Storm and Silver, and Gaynor the Goldfish.
Kevin's voice quality and talent for accents has opened up a new part time career as a voice over artist on adverts. He also stage manages events for Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall and “Celtic Connections” festival.
Kevin is also the lead singer in a Rock, Roll, Rhythm and Blues band, “Not Big Not Klevir”, who perform gigs all over Scotland.
Born in Torphins, Royal Deeside on 9th March 1969.
